Making An American Long Bow With John Green

My young cousin John Green competed along with nine other contestants chosen by teachers and staff for Mr. SHS (Mr. Sisters High School). The ten contestants were chosen on the basis of leadership skills, integrity, responsibility, community involvement and attitude.
They were judged on talent, formal presentation, their ability to answer social, ethical and personal questions and their fundraising abilities. They raised a record breaking $30,000. + this year and presented it to NICU, a neonatal intensive unit at St. Charles Hospital and FAN, the Family Access Network.

John WON the competition last night and will now compete with boys in Central Oregon on the state level.

I had the pleasure of producing the video for John showing his ability to make and instruct others to make an American Long Bow.

This video is the first of many to be featured in a new series, The Heritage Arts Preservation Project.
